Alaska Marriage Records

Alaska marriage records can be ordered from the state’s Bureau of Vital Statistics. You can order these vital records online from a commercial website which specializes in providing this type of information to consumers on a per fee basis.

Who Can Order Alaska Marriage Records
The bride or groom listed on the marriage certificate may order a copy of their own record. A copy of the marriage record may also be provided to a legal representative acting on behalf of the bride or groom named on the document.

ID Required to Order Alaska Marriage Records
When you place your order for Alaska marriage record, you will need to provide a copy of your government issued photo ID. The following forms of ID will be accepted for this purpose:

Driver’s license issued by any state in the U.S. (current or expired for less than one year)

Order Alaska Marriage Records by Mail
You can send your request by mail to any of the Vital Statistics offices listed above. Most requests forwarded by regular mail will be processed within two or three weeks after receipt. All expedited orders must be faxed to the Bureau of Vital Statistics office and the order must include your credit card information.

The state does not process online orders directly but has arranged with an independent company to process online orders. If you choose to place your order using this service, you will be charged an additional processing fee. The processing company accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
