Records of marriages from July 1, 1938-December 31, 1941 are available from the circuit court clerk of the county where the license was issued. If no record is found based on the information provided in your application, records in surrounding counties and a five-year period centered on the year of marriage indicated will be conducted. The fee covers the five-year search and is nonrefundable. If no record is found, only the amount, if any, paid for additional copies will be refunded.
The state accepts personal checks, money orders, or cashier’s checks payable to “Mississippi Vital Records.”
